A family is demanding justice after a man died in police custody at the Westland Jail facility.

William Marshall was arrested on Dec. 10 and taken to the Westland Police Department. According to his family, Marshall was complaining about being sick.

Despite his complaints, the family says, police allowed him to stay detained and ignored him.

His family says after numerous complaints, the EMS was called but denied by police to take Marshall to the hospital, when Marshall died.

The family is calling upon the Westland Police Department to give answers and release video footage.
