DETROIT (WXYZ) — The family of a teen who was gunned down is pleading for the public's help to find his killer.
Kanarie Willis, 17, was shot and killed on New Year's Day on the 14500 block of Troester, according to Detroit police.
The fatal gunshots were fired around 8:30 a.m. Willis was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

There were eight teenagers murdered in 2020 and DPD says Willis is the first teen homicide this year.
