TAYLOR, Mich. (WXYZ) — The FBI confirmed that agents executed a search warrant at Taylor City Hall as part of a public corruption investigation. According to the FBI, members of the Detroit Area Public Corruption Task Force executed the warrant at city hall and at several locations around the area.

Sources at the scene say federal agents are also at the Taylor Mayor's home.

According to FBI Detroit Special Agent in Charge Timothy Slater, the warrants were conducted in part of an ongoing public corruption investigation and they can't discuss details of the case.

"As many of you know ,the FBI is the primary federal agency responsible for investigating allegations of public corruption. As such, any time an allegation of corruption is brought to our attention, we will collect all available facts and evidence," Slater said in a release. "Once collected, it is our job to ensure they are reviewed in a thorough and impartial manner."

They are asking anyone who believes they have information relevant to the investigation to reach out to the FBI. They have a tip line set up at 313-965-4545 or you can submit tips online at tips.fbi.gov.
