Farmington Hills Police Chief Chuck Nebus provided an update on the search for missing 29-year-old Danielle Stislicki this morning.

Stislicki was 28 years old when she went missing in December.

Nebus says law enforcement and K9s are searching for evidence related to the case at Hines Park.

“Law enforcement authorities have expressed since day one that Danielle Stislicki was a victim of a crime,” said Chief Nebus in a statement. “The facts of the case lead us to believe she is not alive. Several air, land, and water searches have been conducted at various places throughout the investigation. Hines Park is being searched as the result of a recent Livonia and Farmington Hills joint investigation. This investigation has led to criminal charges in Livonia against Floyd Galloway, a 30-year-old resident of Berkley. Because the Livonia incident occurred in Hines Park, it is a location that requires searching. There is no specific information or evidence that leads us to believe Danielle’s remains are in the park.”

Police are asking the public to keep an eye out for Stislicki's belongings: a sky blue Eddie Bauer coat, black zip-up shirt, blue jeans and burgundy boots. Authorities are also looking for a tan and brown striped comforter.

BREAKING UPDATE: Police sources confirm the search in Livonia is related to the Danielle Stislicki case. The 29-year-old has been missing since December.

In June, Floyd Galloway Jr. was named a person of interest in her disappearance. He has been arraigned in a separate case involving an attack on a Livonia jogger.

Farmington Hills police say the 30-year-old resident of Berkley met Stislicki at MetLife in Southfield, her place of work. Galloway Jr. used to be a guard with a contracted company that provided security for MetLife, according to police.

After Stislicki's disappearance, police searched Galloway Jr.'s home, taking a mattress away as possible evidence.

Stislicki was last seen on December 2 after leaving work. Investigators say Stislicki's car was found outside of her residence at Independence Green Apartments in Farmington Hills on December 3.

She was supposed to meet her friend on the night of December 2, but never showed up.
