(WXYZ) — The FBI, Michigan State Police and Vista Maria are joining forces Friday to expand services for child victims of human trafficking.
Vista Maria, located in Dearborn Heights, is one of the only licensed organizations within Michigan "uniquely trained and positioned to provide restorative care, treatment and education for children rescued from a life of trafficking."
All three groups will gather at a 10 a.m. press conference to address details of the new initiative.
Jan. 11 is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.
