Ferndale police are warning residents about a stranger danger incident.
Police say a 13-year-old girl was walking home from school Thursday in the area of Burdette and Mapledale when she noticed a gold SUV with tinted windows following her.
She told police she couldn't really see the driver, but the person followed her several blocks.
Police say she started picking up the pace and yelled at the car to stop following her. The driver eventually took off.
