A fire has forced around 250 students to evacuate a dormitory building on the campus of Eastern Michigan University.
It happened overnight at Phelps Hall on E. Circle Drive. School officials say Phelps Hall is a freshmen dorm.
Firefighters tell us there was a lot of smoke, but no visible flames and that it started in a "common" area.
One student had to be rescued by ladder after suffering smoke inhalation.
Firefighters say the fire appears to have started in a study room on the second floor of the 5-story building.
Most students were finally allowed back into their rooms around 6 this morning.
