SOUTHFIELD — A three-alarm fire at Sutton Place Apartments Saturday called for firefighters from all five Southfield Fire Departments to contain.
The fire occurred Saturday evening around 11 p.m. in the area of Riverside Drive.
According to Southfield Fire, heavy smoke and fire were present upon arrival. This resulted in multiple crews and apparatus being brought in from surrounding departments to assist in battling the blaze.
Firefighters were successful in containing the fire. Only a few units in the building were damaged.
Officials say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
