(WXYZ) — Help and hope. That’s what some folks are asking for after the flood.
The ice jams in the St. Clair River caused a chain reaction of devastation for dozens of families.
Now, they are bracing for more.
Our Andrea Isom spoke with the Ivey Family. They are in need of help after their place was completely flooded and many of their belongings destroyed.
"I don't know how I functioned yesterday. I think I just felt the whole world was crashing in on me," said Michele Ivey.
Ivey said they were told it could take 4 to 5 months of no one living in the space for it to be properly cleaned out.
