Former Flint water investigator sentenced in drunk driving case

A former top investigator in the Flint water crisis was sentenced in his drunk driving case on Tuesday.

Ellis Stafford was sentenced to 12 months of probation along with five days of community service. You may recall his was arrested in Canton back in September.

The retired Michigan State Police inspector then resigned from the Flint investigation team the following day. H was the deputy chief investigator looking into decisions that led to the water crisis.

Stafford is also under strict orders to not use alcohol or drugs, and he must undergo outpatient treatment.
