The Michigan Association of Broadcasters will honor its 2017 Hall of Fame inductees Tuesday evening.
A ceremony will be held at Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville, near Cadillac.
Among those to be inducted is our former colleague Erik Smith.
For close to 50 years, Erik covered major news events in Detroit and Michigan.
That included the 1967 riots and disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa.
He began his broadcasting career in 1962 right here at WXYZ-TV.
