WARREN, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Macomb County Public Works Office said it is working on cleaning up a fuel leak that is going into the Bear Creek Drain.
According to Macomb County Public Works Commissioner Candice Miller, the leak is believed to be old diesel fuel and was found during the drain inspection program.
A clean-up effort is underway, and they are working with the gas station near the area of the leak.
We continue to inspect our drains and encourage residents to contact our office when they see pollution in the drains. We find ‘em and we fix ‘em,” Miller said in a release.
She's expected to talk more about the clean-up effort during a press conference on Tuesday morning.
