Funeral arrangements released for Ron Savage

Funeral and visitation arrangements have been released for late Fox 2 anchor and reporter Ron Savage.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1 at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors in Milford and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 2 at St. Mary Our Lady of the Snows in Milford.

The service will happen on Thursday, March 2 at 4 p.m. at St. Mary Our Lady of the Snows in Milford.

Savage, 63, died Saturday after suffering a heart attack during a training exercise with the Milford Fire Department where he worked as a volunteer.

He worked at Fox 2 since 1999 in the Problem Solver Investigations as well as the station's weekend anchor.

Savage survived by his beloved wife, Mitzi; his son, Ronnie; sisters, Pat (Bob) Murphy of Lansing and Elizabeth Savage; brothers, Tom (Karen) Savage and Dave (Sondra) Savage; nieces and nephews, Ann (Sean) Torongeau, Shawn (Sydney) Murphy, Kevin Murphy, Claire, Luke, Seth, and Eli Savage; in-laws, Roy and Phyllis Simon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike Simon, Susie (Oliver) Gonsalves, Russ Simon, Eric (Sandy) Simon and Paul (Tracy) Simon; nieces and nephews, Paul Simon Jr., Ella Simon, Nicole and Andre Gonsalves, Robbie (Karmen) Simon, Alex (Brian) Anton, Haley Simon, Taylor Simon and many many dear friends, colleagues at Fox 2 and brothers with the Milford Fire Department.
