Drivers across metro Detroit and the state are feeling a little lighter in their pockets as gas prices are up in Michigan.
According to AAA Michigan, gas is up 11 cents in Michigan to about $3.00 per gallon. That's 52 cents higher than this time last year.
In metro Detroit, gas is up 6 cents to about $3.00 per gallon, 59 cents higher than this time last year.
The lowest price, according to AAA, can be found in Traverse City where it's about $2.95 per gallon while Ann Arbor has the most expensive at $3.04 per gallon.
AAA Michigan says the state had the biggest change in average daily gas prices in the country and is 13th in the nation for most expensive average daily gas prices.
