The Michigan Department of Transportation said lane closures on both directions of I-696 near Greenfield will begin on Monday and last throughout the week.
According to MDOT, the lane closures are to repair parts of the barrier wall which was damaged during a serious crash on Saturday.
Eastbound I-696 ill have the left lane blocked from Southfield Freeway to Greenfield while westbound will have the left lane block from Coolidge Highway to Greenfield.
The closures are expected to last through Saturday depending on the weather.
