GM Cares donates 6,400 diapers to Detroit Police

Posted

Team GM Cares donated 6,400 diapers to Detroit Police to benefit needy families.

"It just means one less thing to worry about," says Sgt. Cassandra Lewis.

General Motors employees saw a story on Channel 7 asking for donations for 'Diapers for the D' and responded big time. They drove to the 9th precinct and unloaded a truck full of boxes of diapers. Now they're making it a friendly competition to the other precincts in the city.

"We're calling out every precinct in the city. It's always a competition," says Sabin Blake, Team GM Cares.

Detroit Police are collecting diapers for needy families through October 4. They have boxes in each precinct lobby. You can simply bring in diapers and drop them off.
