Governor Rick Snyder will not be endorsing any candidates to replace him, he said Wednesday.
Not even Bill Schuette, according to a report from WZZM in Grand Rapids.
"I'm staying out of politics. I'm governing," Snyder said.
During the Republican gubernatorial primary, the Gov. Snyder did endorse Lt. Governor Brian Calley, who lost the nomination to Schuette.
“I have always viewed myself as a traditional politician and there are a lot of things I want to get done before I am finished. So I want to stay focused on getting more and more and better results for our citizens,” Snyder said.
November 6 is the election, and the new governor takes office in January 2019.
