(WXYZ) — Taking a plunge in a pool. Camping out by a lake. Family dinners at home.

These are just some of Bradley’s favorite things. But he’s really looking forward to being adopted one day.

The 16-year-old has been in foster care waiting to be adopted since February of 2010 according to the Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange.

“I love animals. And I love swimming and I love camping and going to the zoo,” said Bradley.

“My favorite animal is that! An otter. That is my favorite animal,” he explained pointing to an otter display at a nature center he was visiting.

“Bradley is a very sweet kid. He is very enthusiastic and energetic. He is very passionate about any of his current interests. Right now, it happens to be animals,” said his worker.

He likes going to school. Math is his favorite subject.

One of his favorite hobbies is gaming.

“I want to be a computer player,” said Bradley. He especially enjoys “Friday at Freddy’s” and “Minecraft.”

Traveling around the U.S. is also one of his goals.

“I’d like to go to New York and Indiana,” he said.

On the hope of being adopted, Bradley answered quickly.

“I would like two dads. And I would like a dog, and I want my own room,” he said.

“He thrives with patience, structure, and reminders. His best quality is his heart. He gets attached to people who come in his life. He has this heart that never falters,” said his worker.

“For Bradley, I really wish to find him a family who is willing to take a chance on him, who has community support – because he loves doing activities – someone who is willing to take the time to get to know who he is in person – not just who he is on paper. Because who he is in person is so much more than is he on paper,” she added.

The Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange explains that Bradley would do best with two parents who are experienced.

Bradley dreams of adoptive parents who like swimming, camping, family dinners and good conversation. And he likes to talk!

One of his favorite activities involves bedtime which he likes to precede with a story about “where I come from and all the people who love me.”
