From Monopoly to air hockey, family game nights are one of the things Jacob dreams about. The 10-year-old -- who is in the foster care system in Michigan -- is hoping to be adopted soon.
“I like to play Mario. I would go for Super Mario. I haven’t played it, but I bet I’m going to like it,” he said.
He’s a funny kid who also likes to tell jokes.
“What’s black and white and red all over? ---A newspaper!” he said with a smile.
His favorite subject in school is math. “I like using money, counting money.”
Jacob also enjoys sports and fishing.
“I’ve caught a salmon before,” he said proudly holding up his hands chest-width apart. “It was like that big!”
“When I grow up, I’d like to be a chef because I’ve read a lot of cook books,” he explained.
He gets a kick out of identifying all of the ingredients and measuring them for the recipe.
When he thinks about being adopted, he’d love to have a Mom and a Dad and brothers and sisters. Oh, and a family dog or cat would be cool, too!
“I’d like to go on family bike rides,” he said softly. He also would like his future adoptive parents to go fishing with him and hold family game nights.
