Putting pen to paper…or fingers to keyboard…is a passion for Ja’Lana. The 15-year-old foster child is hoping to share her love of writing with her future parents – once she’s found a match.
Ja’Lana is a good student and works very hard to keep her grades up.
Her favorite subject in school is writing followed by history.
When she graduates from high school, she’d like to attend the University of Michigan.
She aims to become a child-advocacy lawyer when she grows up. She wants to help other children who are in foster care, according to her worker.
When she’s not hitting the books, Ja’Lana is busy participating in track. She also likes playing football.
Other interests include shopping, dancing, listening to music, and going out to eat. Having a relaxing mani/pedi is among her favorite things.
She would do best with a forever family with a single-female parent or two parents.
She has strong bonds with her maternal grandmother and siblings, and her future family must be willing to let her maintain those relationships.
