DETROIT (WXYZ) — Toss a bunch of Legos in front of 7-year-old Joshua and you’re likely to soon see quite the architectural creation take shape.

“I love Legos so much, and I love toys so much,” Joshua said with a huge smile.

The first grader describes himself as nice and funny.

“I’m so cute and the best kid ever,” he added with a huge grin.

His worker described Joshua as energetic, curious, and very creative.

“He likes to make friends, and he really likes to eat pizza,” she said.

“He is very fun-loving. He has a lot of energy. You never know what he’s going to say next. One minute he’s as cute as a 5-year-old, and the next minute he’s saying something as profound as a 10-year-old,” she explained.

“He’s got a great attitude for everything that he’s been through in his life. He’s smart, and he knows that his life has been unfair. But at the same time, he remains optimistic and positive and fun,” added the case worker.

He said he loves kind people and would really like a Mom and sisters and brothers.

The Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange indicates that Joshua would do best in a forever family with two experienced parents.

He’s also an animal lover.

“I want dogs. I want a whole bunch of dogs like Chihuahuas, poodles,” he said with excitement.

Whether or not a family has pets is not as important as finding the perfect family for him.

“I really want a family. I need a new family,” he added.
