DETROIT (WXYZ) — Playing board games inside or playing Tag in the backyard are just some of 14-year-old Joslyn’s favorite things to do. And the child who is currently in foster care is hoping one day to share those interests with adoptive parents.

“Basically, I want a family that cares about me, helps me, loves me no matter what,” said Joslyn.

She’s a big fan of living in Michigan because of the four seasons and beautiful scenery. She’d like to stay here in the Mitten State.

“I’d like to live in the country with my family – I like horses, cats, and dogs. I want to live on a farm and have different animals,” she said.

And working with animals is just one of the careers she is considering.

“What I want to be when I grow up is a tattoo artist, veterinarian, teacher, and a therapist,” she said.

“I can draw, color, and I’m really unique at drawing,” she explained.

She also likes math and learning sign language.

Being active in a number of sports is also important to her.

“I like running track. I also like soccer. I play basketball,” she said.

“With my friends, I also like to play Rummy and Monopoly, run around outside, play tag, see who can run faster. You can make snow angels and snowmen. Go sledding,” she said with a big smile.

“The things that I like that make me laugh and smile is jokes and funny movies,” she added.

But what she’d like more than anything is to be adopted.
