BIRMINGHAM, Mich. (WXYZ) — Birmingham-based brewery Griffin Claw is getting in on the hard seltzer craze. The brewery announced Wednesday it will launch a line of hard seltzers in January 2020.
They will have four flavors: Tasmanian Raspberry, Lemon Lime, Georgia Peach and Black Cherry.
According to Griffin Claw, they will release them in a variety 12-pack with 16-ounce cans, which they expect to cost around the same as variety packs with 12-ounce cans.
“We don’t want our customer’s to break the bank, so our 16 ounce 12 packs should come in right around the same price as other 12 ounce 12 packs already in the market," Griffin Claw Sales Director Kyle VanDeventer said.
According to the brewery, Brewmaster Dan Rogers has been working on the hard seltzers for around a year.
"After rigorous and extensive sampling, we landed on four flavors for the initial launch," Marketing Director Christopher Lasher said.
Griffin Claw has been offering the seltzers on draft in the taproom in Birmingham and at select bars for the past few months.
They are the latest brewery to offer their own line of hard seltzers. This year has seen the likes of Atwater Brewery, Perrin Brewing Company and several more.
