PONTIAC, Mich. (WXYZ) — Neighbors tells 7 Action News they heard more than seven gunshots outside Herrington Elementary in Pontiac Thursday.
The scene was chaotic just after 1:30 a.m., and soon after streets were blocked off by Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies.
School bus routes near Bay & Dudley had to be diverted for students to arrive to class safely. At this point, detectives haven’t released information regarding the condition or identity of a shooting victim. Also, no information about possible arrests has been released.
Neighbors say they are not accustomed to violence in their area, and fear this could be related to disputes between particular groups of people.
