Halloween's forecast looks ugly with rain, gusty winds and temps in the 40s

(WXYZ) — After a nice start to the workweek, Metro Detroit is in for some big changes. Rain is on the way for Wednesday and the storm system that's bringing it will keep it around for Halloween too.

Halloween Forecast Details:

The rain will be steady & wind-whipped making for a raw feel to the day. The intensity will let up a little bit towards the "Trick of Treat" hours but an umbrella or poncho will still be needed. Add a few layers to the checklist as well since temps will be dropping during the day with colder air wrapping around this storm. This will bring the Detroit area down to a 25° drop in "real feel" temps compared to where we were on Monday.

The gusty winds are just a sign of the extreme temperature and pressure changes in the atmosphere. Temps will be much cooler behind this system keeping us below average through the weekend. With all of this cold air in place, we'll be on "Snow Watch" since it'll be cold enough to snow if moisture is available. Stay Tuned!
