On this Election Day different type of voting is taking place at Samaritas Senior Living in Bloomfield Hills. They're electing a "Pie President"!
After such an exhausting and divisive election cycle, residents decided to do something most everyone can agree on; America's love of pie! Samaritas' chefs are assisting as residents bring a lifetime of baking experience to your tastebuds!
Every four years, Samaritas Senior Living makes the day on which we elect a new President fun and tasty with its Election Day Pie Contest. This year, residents and staff at the Grand Rapids and Bloomfield Hills communities will spend Tuesday, November 8th, baking and tasting, to see whose pie achieves winning quality.
Classic apple, Dutch apple, Classic, cinnamon apple, pumpkin and lemon pineapple pie are just a few of the old and new favorites you can sample before casting your ballot.
To help you get your own pie party going, we'll include the recipe for the lemon pineapple pie. It's super easy to make and super delicious!
But which one is fit to be "Pie President"? You'll have to stop by and taste one to cast your ballot!
