(WXYZ) — 7 In Your Neighborhood will be live from the Hallowe'en at Greenfield Village on Friday, but if you can't make it, here are 7 other things to do in your neighborhood this weekend.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk
This is happening at Hart Plaza on Saturday, Oct. 12. More than 25,000 people are expected at the walk for the American Cancer Society.
Cider in the City
This event at Beacon Park celebrates fall with free horse-drawn hayrides through Beacon Park, fresh doughnuts, cider and caramel apples. Plus, a bounce house, petting zoo, face painting and much more for families. It's from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday in downtown Detroit.
Zoo Boo at the Detroit Zoo
The annual Zoo Boo at the Detroit Zoo is back with all 125 acres of the zoo open for the event. Tickets are on sale now from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday - Sunday. More information here
Great Pumpkin Festival
The Great Pumpkin Festival will happen on Saturday and Sunday at Maybury Farm in Northville. There will be live music, food, pumpkin-themed games, corn husk doll making and more. Tickets are $7 or $12, and children under 2 are free. For more information, click here.
Bissell Empty the Shelters event
Bissell's empty the shelter event will reduce adoption fees for animals across the country. In Macomb County, there will be events in separate places, and applications can be found here. More information here.
Pierogi Making 101 at St. Peter and Paul Community Center
You can learn the art of piergoi making in Detroit on Friday, Oct. 11. Tickets are $50 but each student will take home one dozen pierogi of a traditional potato and cheese filling. All materials are provided. More information here
