The homegoing celebration for Aretha Franklin will happen on Friday morning. The funeral is expected to begin at 10 a.m. from Greater Grace Temple on Detroit's west side.

7 Action News will stream the event live online at WXYZ.com and on our Facebook page beginning at 9 a.m. We will have a special airing from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. with Carolyn Clifford and Glenda Lewis.
Also, WXYZ has partnered with the Downtown Detroit Partnership to screen the funeral at Campus Martius Park on a big screen from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The funeral is expected to last several hours, with special speakers including former President Bill Clinton, Smokey Robinson and more.
Performances at the funeral will include Stevie Wonder, Faith Hill, Jennifer Hudson and many more.
