Buckle Up Tonight and for Winter's Return
Slick roads will be a possibility tonight and Wednesday morning due to a prolonged risk of light freezing rain. Secondary roads will be at the greatest risk of icing up along with untreated surfaces. Take it easy out there and allow for more travel time if you're heading to the Red Wings game Tuesday night or heading to work or school Wednesday morning. Once the cold front clears the area, the weather will calm down until our next system arrives Thursday night.
A Big Pattern Change Ahead
The jet stream is about to change to a more Winter like pattern for the days ahead and tonight's freezing drizzle risk is just the start. Thursday will bring a chance of snow and so does Saturday. As long as the jet stream remains near the Great Lakes, we'll continue to see active weather and plenty of cold air around.
