(WXYZ) — Labatt Blue Light announced Thursday it will be launching a new seltzer in Detroit and other cities before it goes nationwide next year.
Labatt Blue Light Seltzer will feature four flavors and is the latest of massive beer companies to join in the growing hard selzter craze.
“We saw an opportunity in the seltzer market. People love the low calories, low carbs and refreshment, but are looking for more taste with less bitter aftertaste. Labatt Blue Light Seltzer offers a surprisingly fruit forward aroma and taste that finishes light and refreshing,” said Jaime Polisoto, brand manager for Labatt. “It tastes less watered down and smoother than other hard seltzers.”
It will come in a 12-pack variety pack with includes four flavors: Black Cherry Lime, Tropical Grapefruit, Blood Orange Blackberry and Mango Lemon.
There will be 100 calories and 1g carbs per can with a 5% alcohol by volume.
