FENTON, Mich. (WXYZ) — The LaFontaine auto group is stepping up to help out Special Olympics Michigan.
After the Special Olympics had to cancel their annual polar plunge fundraiser because of COVID-19, Kurt Chapelle, a salesman with the company, ask if they could help out.
Officials with the company then helped organize the LaFontaine Polar Plunge at Family Deal Direct of Fenton on Saturday to raise money with a dunk tank.
Ryan LaFontaine, CEO, LaFontaine Automotive Group, along with Kurt and others, will take the chilly plunge beginning at 3:00 p.m.
Donations are being collected at the event. A fundraising page has also been set up through Special Olympics Michigan.
