More than a dozen women have filed a lawsuit alleging they were illegally videotaped while using the bathroom and changing at Switch Crossfit in Clinton Township. In the lawsuit, the women are also joined by a male gym member and a child.
Attorney Joshua Cecil says some of his victims were close with gym owner Matthew Krakwoski, who is also facing criminal charges in circuit court. “This was a incredible violation of their trust and privacy over a long period of time” says Cecil.
The alleged crimes were first exposed earlier this year, and Krakowski is currently free on bond. The lawsuit is hoping to collect damages of more than a million dollars. “Detectives found a ton of images in terms of evidence that was being kept of people at the gym,” says Cecil.
