She is under internal investigation by MSP over her posting of a meme calling NFL football players who kneel during the National Anthem “millionaire ingrates” and “degenerates.”
Etue has apologized but is not resigning.
The internal investigation can only lead to a five day suspension.
The governor says he will not fire the commander.
The legislators will wait for the results of the investigation and what action the governor will take, which could be by the end of this week.
