DETROIT (WXYZ) — A local organization is looking to find ways to stop the violence in the City of Detroit.

"Live in Peace" held a meeting Thursday to address the violence among the city's youth. People were asked for suggestions on how to fix the problem.

Maurice Hardwick, also known as Pastor Mo and the creator of the "Live in Peace" movement, says he's tired of young men and women being shot.

Pastor Mo says one way to change the mentality is to have more police officers in school to help keep kids safe in the classroom.
