TripAdvisor names Michigan's Mackinac Island its top Hottest U.S. Destination for Summer.
According to a release, the travel planning and booking site revealed its 2018 Summer Vacation Value Report and highlighted the top 10 domestic destinations for U.S. travelers this summer based on the greatest increase in seasonal hotel booking interest, including average one-week vacation costs for hotels and airfare.
Mackinac Island was described as "charming" and a "throwback to old-timey seaside leisure" in the report.
The island is known for its world-famous, homemade fudge, and explorative activities visitors can do around the Mackinac Island State Park.
