The Detroit Regional Chamber is hosting its 2016 Mackinac Policy Conference.

The event focuses on talking about best practices and how to solve issues the state faces such as unemployment, the Flint water crisis and the state of DPS schools.

During today’s events Governor Snyder, Dan Gilbert and Mike Duggan spoke along with many others: the main focus being the need for jobs.

"I think the key is to recognize that we need an entire range of jobs,” said Cindy Pasky the CEO and President of Strategic Staffing Solutions.

She says having entry point jobs in a wide range of fields is an important task because it allows for more people to enter the workforce and is more sustainable for the city growth.
