Macomb County is set to announce a new source fo funding to help fix crumbling roads. It's been a billion dollar problem in the county as they have some of the worst roads in metro Detroit.
Last month, Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel slammed state government, saying they're not providing enough funding to fix the current problem, which includes neighborhood roads.
The county revamped their website showing where the bad roads are, with Mound, Dequindre and 26 Mile all in need of serious repair.
There has been mixed reaction on how to pay for the roads from drivers, especially when it comes to paying more taxes.
Last month, Hackel said if Lansing fails to find the funding they need he was going to look elsewhere.
The announcement will come at 11 a.m. Thursday.
