Officials announced Tuesday morning that they have suspended the current search for bodies in northern Macomb County.

Warren Mayor Jim Fouts says police will "evaluate evidence they have found."

The search for up to 6 bodies of missing teen girls will expand to three more areas next – two in northern Macomb County and a third in the northern area of Michigan Gladwin.

Fouts says they have received additional new tips in the investigation, which has prompted this reassessment. Authorities also have to reevaluate there resources, man power and money moving forward, he added.

The dig team is also looking in the area where Arthur Ream buried Cindy Zarzycki.

Ream, who is currently serving a life sentence, was convicted of first-degree murder in the death of 13-year-old Zarzycki whose remains were found in 2008 near the same area police have been searching for the bodies of several other teen girls.
