MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. (WXYZ) — Two young children out of Madison Heights have been found safe after Michigan State Police issued an AMBER Alert overnight.

The 4-month-old and 1-year-old were found safe at their grandparent's house in Toledo, Ohio.

No arrests have been made yet as there are conflicting stories about what happened, according to police.

Police were looking for Lemonte Dujuan Bronner, 18. He allegedly took a 4-month-old girl and a 1-year-old girl at gunpoint Thursday. He fled from the area of East Hudson, police say, and was driving a black Sedan, license plate unknown.

A preliminary investigation found that Bronner allegedly assaulted the father of the children and is a relative of the family, but police say there are conflicting reports about what happened.

There are no arrests right now, as police are sorting through what happened. They say right now the girls will stay at their grandparents' house.
