PONTIAC, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is looking for a suspect who allegedly shot and killed a man who he believed cut in front of him in line at Erebus Haunted House in Pontiac.
Police say the victim, a 29-year-old from Detroit, was with his girlfriend and they had been waiting in line at the haunted house when the suspect in line ahead of them wouldn't move. That led to an argument between the victim and suspect, and the suspect expressed he had thought the victim had cut in line in front of him, police said.
At one point the victim and suspect went to the parking lot separately. Witnesses then say they heard gun shots. The victim was hit in the side, neck and chest. A blue sedan was then seen fleeing from the area.
The victim died at McLaren Oakland Hospital.
This is an ongoing investigation. If you have information on the whereabouts of the suspect, contact the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
