WARREN, Mich. (WXYZ) — A man was arrested by Warren police for robbing a Citizens Bank at 23521 Van Dyke on Tuesday.
The man had past federal convictions for bank robbery and weapons offenses. The arrest came within 30 hours of the initial robbery.
“Due to the outstanding work of our detectives, we were able to identify a suspect with prior federal convictions for bank robbery and weapons offenses within 30 hours," said Warren Commissioner Bill Dwyer. "This individual is also suspected in another metro Detroit bank robbery. The citizens of Warren should be proud of the quick work of their Police department in taking this dangerous felon off the streets.”
The suspect is expected to be charged on Wednesday.
