Highland Park police say they have arrested a man in connection to a deadly bus stop shooting last week.
According to police, Malcom Benson was arrested on Sunday morning around 11:30 a.m.
Stanley Carter, 59, was shot and killed at the stop on Woodward Ave. near Tennyson last Wednesday.
Right now, police believe the shooting was a random act, but they do not yet have a motive.
Benson just got out of jail in January and was on parole. He spent 20 years in jail for second degree murder.
Police said public tips were key in tracking Benson down. He is expected to be arraigned in the coming days.
