ROCHESTER HILLS (WXYZ) — A 30-year-old man has been committed to a hospital for mental health treatment after he went into a mosque in Rochester Hills Monday and reportedly yelled to its Muslim members, "You guys will go to hell. Jesus is God."

Investigators with the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said he's the same man who went to the mosque on Sunday wearing a large cross necklace and approaching children, telling them they are practicing a "fake religion."

Surveillance pictures of the man were emailed to members of the mosque so that they could be aware of the man and use caution.

Deputies were able to locate and identify him thanks to a picture of the license plate on the vehicle he was seen driving.

We're told the man lives with his parents in Rochester Hills. His father told investigators that his son has mental health issues and has been unstable since he stopped taking medication.

There were no physical injuries reported in either incident.
