CLINTON TWP., Mich. (WXYZ) — A 26-year-old man is in custody after police found a 26-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her face at a home in Clinton Township Saturday.
Clinton Township police say there was a report of shots fired at a residence on Sept. 28. When officers arrived, they encountered the suspect, a 26-year-old man, with a long gun. The suspect dropped the gun without incident.
Inside the home, police found a woman with a gunshot wound to her face. She was taken to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased Sunday night.
Police are calling the shooting a domestic incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
