DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating after someone wearing a clown mask shot and killed a man at a gas station on the city's west side on Halloween.
Police say the shooting occurred at Citgo gas station, 7305 W. Grand River Avenue, which is near West Grand Boulevard around 7:45 p.m.
The suspect, donning a mask with a red nose, allegedly walked into the gas station and shot another man in the back of the head. Police say the victim was standing in line at the register when the suspect walked up behind him.
After the shooting, the suspect and another person inside the station ran off in an unknown direction, police say.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detroit police say the suspect was wearing a grey and black Northface jacket and jean pants.
