Manager, employee fire shots at attempted robbers at Detroit business

DETROIT (WXYZ) — The manager and employee at a Detroit business were able to stop an attempted robbery Tuesday afternoon.

Police say three suspects attempted to rob a local business in the 9500 block of Dexter. The suspects entered the store and assaulted an employee. The business's owner, a 47-year-old man, saw what was happening and produced a weapon. Police say both victims then fired shots at the three suspects, striking two of them. One suspect is still at large. The other two were arrested and treated at a local hospital.

This is a preliminary investigation.
