Police in Meridan Township, near Lansing, say they have two persons of interest in connection with an event that prompted the evacuation of the Meridan Mall.
That's according to Lansing station WLNS.
The station reports the mall was evacuated around 6:30 p.m. due to some kind of weapons complaint. WLNS says it may have been prompted by two men making threats. However, they say that is not confirmed.
Employees were allowed back into the mall around 8:00 p.m., at which point it was announced the mall would also be closed for the rest of the day.
