A metro Detroit couple became the first to ever get married at a Party City last weekend.
Justin and Heather got married at the Party City in Brighton as the store holds a special place in both of their hearts. Justin began working there in 2013 as a temp associate before being promoted to merchandise specialist and then operations manager on his wedding day.
He met Heather at a previous job in 2014 and reconnected a few years later thanks to mutual friends.
According to the couple, they wanted to avoid the typical wedding venue and decided Party City would be the perfect spot. It was officiated by the local general manager who is also Justin’s mentor, and friends, family and coworkers attended the wedding.
On top of that, Party City surprised the couple with $1,000 to use towards their honeymoon.
