Old Nation Brewing Company, based in Williamston, is bringing a world beer festival to mid Michigan early next month.
Best known for it's award-winning M-43 New England IPA, Old Nation is hosting the first annual Williamston International Festival of Lagers on Saturday, June 2 from 1-6 p.m. in downtown Williamston, which is being put on by Weekend Survival Kits. The group helps provide food on weekends to kids grades K-5 who could go hungry, helping in their academic success.
The event will feature 30 breweries from around the world featuring 50 different lagers.
"Often an underappreciated style, lagers are actually one of the more complex beers to brew and are quickly gaining notoriety among the leaders of craft beer," Old Nation Co-owner and Brewer Travis Fritts said in a release.
It will also feature lagers that are unique and not even available in the state of Michigan.
Tickets start at $32 and includes entry, a tasting glass, 10 or 15 tickets good for a 3oz pour per ticket, and more tickets are available at the event.
VIP tickets get you in an hour early with 15 sampling tickets and cost $42. For more information, click here.
