GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WXYZ) — A Michigan distillery has been nominated as one of the best distillery's in the United States, and they need your help with the vote. Long Road Distillers, based in Grand Rapids, has been nominated in multiple categories as part of the USA TOday 10Best Readers' Choice Travel Awards.
The categories they were nominated in include: Best Craft Specialty Spirits Distillery, Best Craft Gin Distillery, Best Craft Vodka Distillery and Best Craft Brandy Distillery. It's the third year that they were nominated in the craft spirits distillery category.
Despite only having a four-year history, the distillery has gained attention for award-winning, locally-sourced spirits that include gins, vodkas, whiskies and aquavits.
Voting is open now until Monday, Sept. 23 with winners being announced on Oct. 4.
Long Road is one of 20 nominees in each category from around the country chosen by a panel of American spirits experts.
